A 16-year-old vocal powerhouse stole the show during this one-of-a-kind cover of Kelly Clarkson‘s chart-topping masterpiece!
Taking the stage for the Knockout Round against fellow Team Miley member, Whitney Fenimore, young Moriah Formica unleashed her inner rock goddess with this killer performance of Clarkson’s 2005 mega-hit, “Behind These Hazel Eyes.”
Penned by Clarkson herself alongside the song’s producers, this international hit was one of her first rock-heavy songs that she put together with the help of famous pop producer Max Martin. “Behind These Hazel Eyes” quickly became an international success and is easily known as one of her signature songs.
Formica turned The Voice stage into a rock concert with this unbelievably good cover of Clarkson’s hit song that left her coach, Miley Cyrus, with a tough call to make!
Not only did Formica blow away all four coaches, but throughout the rehearsal segment, she stunned Clarkson herself when she appeared on the show as the key advisor for the season. Performing a song in front of the artist who wrote and recorded it has got to be nerve-wracking, but this talented teenager didn’t let it phase her one bit and truly proved her worth!
