It is still relatively early in the 20th season on NBC’s hit singing competition, The Voice, but Blake Shelton has already predicted the winner.

Shelton has been a coach on the series since the first season, so it is not surprising that the country artist holds the most team wins. Still, Shelton seems ready to throw in the towel for season 20. On Monday, the country star predicted that he would lose to Team Kelly Clarkson.

During the blind auditions, Clarkson used a block against the country star and welcomed 17-year-old Kenzie Wheeler to her team. Wheeler has a natural talent for country music, and needless to say, Shelton is a big fan. After Wheeler’s knockout round performance, the “God’s Country” singer made a prediction.

“I gotta say something here. You’re probably gonna win this show and I want to know exactly what’s going on up in here.” Shelton stated before addressing Wheeler’s mullet hairstyle. “You’re probably gonna win The Voice, and that haircut’s gonna be trending, and I want to be in on it.”

While Shelton may be waiting on the opportunity to steal Wheeler away from Clarkson, it does not look like the trade will happen anytime soon. Clarkson declared Wheeler the winner of Monday night’s battle, and he will progress forward in the show.
