Kevin Costner, the star of Paramount’s Yellowstone, celebrated his 66th birthday on Monday (January 18). As one of the most recognizable actors in the world, Costner received a wealth of birthday wishes from his thousands of fans.
Yellowstone also made sure to celebrate its leading man’s special day. The show took to social media to share a photo of Costner as his character, John Dutton.
Alongside the photo, the show wrote, “Happy birthday to the one and only Kevin Costner!”

Fans of the show flooded the comments with their own birthday wishes. One fan wrote, “Have a great day cowboy,” while another said, “Feliz Cumpleanos from a Costa Rican who sends you many great blessings.”
A little later in the day, Costner wanted to let his fans know how much he appreciated their birthday wishes. He shared a post on social media, and wrote:
“Thanks for all the birthday wishes. Incredibly grateful for another trip around the sun.”

Hopefully this trip around the sun brings Costner’s return to Yellowstone. His character’s fate was left up in the air at the conclusion of the Season 3 finale, which aired in August. Season 4 is expected to be released this summer.
Even though John Dutton is the lead character in the series, Costner’s refusing to say what happens to him:
When asked about Dutton’s fate in an interview with Good Day New York, Costner said, “I can’t say. There’s an ending that you’re gonna see. Hopefully it’s a powerful one for you. I try to make things and be a part of things that have a dramatic arc to them.”
Guess we’ll just have to wait and see if Costner comes back to the series and stays on for the whole season. In the meantime, join us in wishing him a happy belated birthday!
