Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani fell in love while they were both serving as coaches on The Voice. They have since coached several more seasons together.
Season 22 will be their first season working together since they married on July 3, 2021.

Although Shelton and Stefani are now husband and wife, that won’t stop them from getting competitive on The Voice. A new promo clip for Season 22 shows the lovebirds playfully bickering with one another during the blind auditions.
Newcomer Camila Cabello asks her fellow coaches, “Have you guys made a rule that you won’t get into real fights?”
Shelton quickly responds, “No.” Stefani doubles down, jokingly saying, “We’re gonna fight.”
Another clip shows Shelton using his one and only “block” on Stefani. He tries to convince the contestant on stage to join his team, saying, “I literally used my block on my wife.” This prompts Stefani to say, “Are you serious?”
Just goes to show that Shelton won’t let anything or anyone get in the way when he wants someone to join Team Blake! He’s been on the show from day one, so he knows good talent when he hears it…and he’ll fight for it.
