Jason Aldean recently held a benefit concert to raise money for a children’s hospital.
Country music star Jason Aldean hosted the “Concert for the Kids” event on Thursday, October 3, at the Grand Opera House in Macon, Georgia. This benefit concert is part of Aldean’s ongoing support for the Macon Children’s Hospital, for which he has performed multiple fundraisers over the years.
The facility, the only children’s hospital in central Georgia, is particularly significant for Aldean as it serves his hometown.
This year’s concert raised an impressive $618,393 for the Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital.
Special guests for the show included singer/songwriters Maggie Reeves and Josh Carson. Sharing a social media post after the show, Reeves wrote:
“What a night. I am so incredibly grateful for [Jason Aldean] and his team for letting us join this night.”

During the event, Aldean expressed why he felt it was important for him to get involved with the hospital:
“One of the reasons I got involved with this is that I’m from here. I got four kids of my own…If I was living here, I would want to know that I had somewhere to take my kids if something was wrong and they were sick and not have to go to Atlanta or somewhere like that. That, to me, is the only reason we do this.”
The singer then shared he was pleased with how far the hospital had progressed. He said he’d stopped by earlier to see what had changed since his last visit.
“I got a chance to go to the hospital today [and] see all the amazing work they’ve done over there since I was here last time. It is incredible, and I’m really proud of everything they’ve done.”
