Kelly Clarkson’s Captivating “Kellyoke” Cover Of “Blue Ain’t Your Color” Leaves Fans Speechless

Kelly Clarkson went country for one of her latest “Kellyoke” performances, opting to share her version of “Blue Ain’t Your Color” by Keith Urban.

Clarkson shares a new “Kellyoke” performance almost every day on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Over the years, she’s covered many country classics, including Reba McEntire’s “You Lie” and John Michael Montgomery’s “Sold.”

Occasionally, Clarkson teams up with one of her celebrity guests for a special duet version of “Kellyoke.” Country fans rejoiced when Keith Urban joined Clarkson onstage in December 2024. They sang Urban’s hit duet with another country superstar, Lainey Wilson, titled “GO HOME W U.”

Clarkson is clearly a fan of Urban’s, having covered his singles “Tonight I Wanna Cry” and “Raining on Sunday” for previous editions of “Kellyoke.” More recently, she shared a mesmerizing cover of his song “Blue Ain’t Your Color.”

Keith Urban Released “Blue Ain’t Your Color” In 2016

Keith Urban released “Blue Ain’t Your Color” as the fourth single from his ninth studio album, Ripcord. Steven Lee Olsen, Hillary Lindsey, and Clint Lagerberg co-wrote the track.

“Blue Ain’t Your Color” reached the #1 spot on both of Billboard‘s country charts. It also crossed over to claim the 24th slot on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100.

The song ranked at the 13th spot on the year-end Hot Country Songs chart for 2017. It later claimed the 9th position on the decade-end chart.

“Blue Ain’t Your Color” won the CMA Award for Single of the Year in 2017. It also secured two nominations at the 59th Grammy Awards.

Additionally, the song’s captivating music video won the coveted Video of the Year award at the CMT Music Awards in 2017. Watch that music video below.
