Is Kevin Costner Dating Jewel? Find Out How That Rumor Started…
Kevin Costner recently addressed the speculation that a romance is blossoming between him and the singer Jewel.
The rumor that the Yellowstone actor is seeing the “Who Will Save Your Soul” singer started in December 2023. Photos surfaced of the pair in the Virgin Islands for a tennis event “to raise funds for kids.”
These photos, which were obtained by TMZ, showed Jewel leaning against Costner while he had his arms wrapped around her waist in an embrace. An unnamed source told TMZ the pair appeared “flirty” at the event.
Jewel shared a video from the event on Instagram and said Costner was “kind enough to mentor our kids this year.”
Costner Addresses The Dating Rumors
Costner has been married twice and has seven kids. His latest marriage to Christine Baumgartner lasted for nearly 20 years before they separated in 2023. They finalized their divorce earlier this year.
Jewel was previously married to rodeo star Ty Murray from 2008-2014. They share one child.
So is there any truth to the rumors that Costner and Jewel are an item? According to Costner himself, the answer is “no.”
Costner addressed the rumored romance during a recent appearance on The Howard Stern Show. Stern asked the actor if he’s “in love right now,” to which Costner responded, “no.”

After Stern brought up the rumors about Jewel, Costner said:
“No, Jewel and I are friends. We’ve never gone out ever. She’s special, and I don’t want, I don’t want these rumors to ruin our friendship…She’s special to me. She’s beautiful enough to go out with.”
The Horizon star continued:
“I don’t want the press to ruin this for us, because…I’ve had conversations with her, text wise…and she’s been through a lot herself, and so we have a friendship. We don’t have a romance, and we’ve not dated.”
“It just has never happened for us. She’s everything you might think, but it just hasn’t happened.”
