Miranda Lambert Joined Theo Von On His Podcast This Past Weekend W/ Theo Von
If you are unfamiliar with Theo Von, he is a comedian most known for his standup and his top-rated podcast. The podcast has grown to tremendous fame, even interviewing Presidential nominee Donald Trump.
The comedian’s interview with Lambert is filled with hilarious moments. One of the comical moments from Lambert’s interview was an accident.
Von and Lambert discussed old country radio when they briefly bonded over a specific radio show called Cryin’, Lovin’ Or Leavin.’ Lambert mentioned in passing that she wanted to hear it again. Von’s producers instantly found the old radio show to fulfill her request and played the first one they could find.
It happened to be her ex-husband Blake Shelton’s “God Gave Me You.”

Miranda Lambert Shared Her Experience Touring With Toby Keith
Also, during her conversation with Von, Lambert opened up about what it was like touring with Toby Keith early in her career. Lambert toured with the country legend from 2006 to 2007.
Lambert confessed that Keith’s fans were “about Toby only.” She attributed the tough crowds at his concerts to Keith’s outlaw‘ I am who I am’ mentality, and she believed that his fans most likely got that from him. During those years, she had to learn how to “gain fans” even though they were only there to see Keith.
She shared that she“learned a lot” during that time.
When asked by Von about what she thought about Keith, Lambert said:
“He was authentically himself, kind of did everything his own way, an outlaw in his own way, a prolific songwriter, and you know, he was kind of a tough love at first out on the road.”

Lambert said the country legend treated her with“tough love” when she first met him. But she attributed it to him helping her learn on her first tour. She went on to say:
“I guess I needed that cause I was a baby and didn’t know, you know, what was going on yet, I was learning all the ropes of everything.”
Toby Keith helped Lambert become the musician she is today.
