Robert Irwin, the son of the late Steve Irwin, is officially an uncle!
Robert’s sister, Bindi, and her husband, Chandler, welcomed their first child together on March 25. Grace Warrior Irwin Powell was born on the couple’s first wedding anniversary, and her name is a tribute to several family members, including late father, Steve.
“Grace is named after my great-grandmother, and relatives in Chandler’s family dating back to the 1700s,” Bindi explained on Instagram. “Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior. Her last name is Powell and she already has such a kind soul just like her dad.”

Robert also took to social media to celebrate Grace’s birth. On Instagram, the 17-year-old beamed over his niece. Robert expressed his excitement to be an uncle, and he also gave high praise to the new parents! Robert wrote:
“Let the uncle adventures begin! Love you so much, Grace [heart emoji].
This little one picked the two best parents in the entire world. The most incredible, caring and strong Mum…and the funnest, coolest and kindest Dad. Love you three so much – I can’t wait for this exciting journey ahead!”
