Magnolia Table displays Joanna’s favorite dishes, all of which are approved by her husband, Chip, and the couple’s five children. The cooking show followed the release of Joanna’s 2018 and 2020 cookbooks Magnolia Table: A Collection of Recipes for Gathering and Magnolia Table, Volume 2: A Collection of Recipes for Gathering. Additionally, in 2018, the Gaines opened a restaurant dubbed Magnolia Table in Waco, Texas.

Joanna’s cooking show is one of the projects under Chip and Joanna’s highly anticipated Magnolia Network. Season one of the show premiered on Magnolia Network’s parent network Discovery+. Like the first season, the second installment is scheduled to arrive on Discovery’s streaming service. Season two will air weekly starting April 9th, and season three is predicted to drop just three months later.

While season three of Magnolia Table is expected to air during the Magnolia Network debut as a digital network, the official linear launch has been delayed until 2022 due to production halts from the COVID-19 pandemic.
