Masked Singer fans are pretty good at figuring out the identities of the contestants before they are unmasked. From the start of Season 6, viewers were certain that the sharply dressed Mallard was none other than Duck Dynasty‘s Willie Robertson.

Fans were able to connect many of the Mallard’s clues to Willie and his life. For starters, he was a duck, and Willie is famous for the Duck Dynasty show and for being the CEO of Duck Commander.

The Mallard also said he is a best-selling author, has a Platinum album, and has shared the stage with Luke Bryan. These are all things Willie can say about himself!

Willie was finally unmasked as the Mallard during the Group B semi-finals.

Willie’s wife, Korie, was with him while he was filming The Masked Singer. Once the Mallard’s identity was revealed, Korie was finally able to share what it was like to watch Willie on the show.

It was the most fun experience AND the hardest secret to keep, ha!!” Korie wrote alongside a slideshow of photos she took while Willie was working on the show.

Korie then went into detail about how Willie rehearsed for his performances. He had a hilarious technique!

Willie, I LOVED every second cheering you on! One of my favorite things about you is in everything you do in life, you go all in, AND you have fun doing it, and always make it fun for everyone around you!!  From entertaining me singing all over the house the entire month before, to practicing on the rooftop of our hotel with a towel wrapped around your head to simulate what it would be like wearing the mask, ha!”
